Today's highlight was Pedagogy and Kaupapa: Connected
I got to understand about a new word Rangitāmiro that refers to 'being connected' at school, nation and to the world as well. She mentioned shared language was the strength of the connection between people that celebrate the differences and diversity. learn create share and connecting with each other. She talked about different opportunities that was provided to the teachers to support their learning in classroom for example DFI. I had seen other people sites and gather some ideas that I can implement and improve my site. I like one teacher idea of putting the link of workspace to a particular task that they need to do. By clicking on that task that link navigate the learners to their task.
We worked in our bubble groups and explored each other sites that was an amazing experience for me to grab some more ideas to implement.
I created my page on acid and base based on multimodal text for today's session.
Kia Ora Alka,
ReplyDeleteYes you are absolutely correct in saying that Google sites do help us in accelerating both engagement and achievement in learners. The digital affordances do really help us in designing and implementing the curriculum is innovative ways.
You have identified so correctly that whilst the digital affordances support us in providing a more equitable and accessible platforms for our learners, it can also be highly challenging sometimes to strike the right balance of keeping on track, doing one thing at a time and then moving on to trying something different to embed on your site. The goal should always be moving forward with consistency, the speed does not matter.
It is awesome to be connecting with you in our bubble group. Thank you for all your contributions and participation.
Thank you so much Manpreet for being an awesome facilitator. Learned a lot during my DFI journey that would certainly be an advantage in designing and implementing new ideas in teaching and learning:)
