Dealing with Data- Day 4

Todays DFI session was on Dealing with Data.

Session was started with the  idea of sharing pedagogy. All the digital media is for sharing and connecting with each other. Sharing has a purpose to connect with each others. In the digital age we can reach beyond the local community with the world. I found that blogging is an important tool that can be used by the  students. It provides them a wider platform for sharing and getting recognized by others as people can review, share, comment, and provide feedback to the students.
It is a tool for digital citizenship and a very important life skill for the students. It provoke new learning by the people who stimulate our learning by writing comments and asking questions.
So, for my classroom I am going to work on blogging so that students share and learn from each other.

I learned about Google forms today. To create a new form go to google.forms.com. I learned to create a new form today. Choice elimination is a very good tool in Google form.

Hapara sharing tab enable further visibility and insight for the google drive of the students. I will encourage my students to tidy up their drive and manage the drive
Maps: Maps are great tool to put in the learning for teaching Mathematics and Science. I will use this in my class with students so that they can calculate  the distance from home to school  or the place where they belong.

I have learned about the deep dive with google sheets that was really new to me and I learned new things. Now I can manage data of my students and their progress.

In Google sheets, we can freeze the row and columns to see the data. We can resize the data and use that to get repetitive patterns. I learnt about conditional formatting tool that is use to highlights the students need more support or the column that we need to highlight. I was amazed by the use of sparkling line to make graphs in the single cell that was wow!

I made a google drawing in today's session by using spread sheet. Overall, today's session was amazing and I learned a lot.
